The Route Builder lets you organize a delivery day’s drop sites into routes (for example, one route per truck), set the order of stops on each route, and see the route plotted on a map. Routes are kept separately for each weekday.
Note: The Route Builder is for farms that plan delivery routes within CSAware. If your farm uses the OptimoRoute integration for route optimization, you plan and dispatch routes through OptimoRoute instead and this screen does not apply — see Route Optimization.
Choosing the day
Use the Day menu at the top to switch weekdays. Each weekday has its own routes and drop assignments, so build them one day at a time.
Routes and drops
- Default Route — holds every drop that hasn’t been assigned to one of your routes yet. It can’t be renamed or deleted.
- Your routes — the routes you create (for example “Blue Truck”). Each header shows a count of how many drops it contains.
- Each drop appears as a chip showing its [code], its name, and its normal delivery day(s).
Assigning and ordering drops
Drag a drop chip from one route to another to reassign it, or drag it within a route to change the stop order. Changes save automatically — a status note (Saving… / Saved) appears near the top of the page. To undo the last drag, click Revert (the number beside it shows how many steps you can undo) or press Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac).
Adding, renaming, and deleting routes
- Add — type a name in the “Add a new route…” box and click Add Route (or press Enter).
- Rename — click the pencil icon on a route, edit the name, and press Enter (Esc cancels).
- Delete — click the trash icon and confirm. Any drops on that route fall back to the Default Route — they are not lost.
- Collapse / expand — click the arrow at the left of a route header to hide or show its drops.
Plotting a route on the map
Click a route’s header (or its map icon) to plot that route on the map. Stops are numbered in delivery order and connected in sequence, so you can sanity-check the path and reorder drops if needed. Hover a marker for a quick label, or click it to open details and jump to that drop in the list. Only drops that have map coordinates appear on the map; if some don’t, the map notes “X of Y drops have coordinates.”
Rescheduled drops
A drop marked with a repeat icon isn’t normally delivered on this weekday — its boxes are routed here for this day by an active rescheduling rule. Hover the icon to see the drop’s original day(s). These drops appear only while the rule is in effect.
