💬 What happens when a subscriber places a hold on their delivery?

For Paid-in-Full Subscriptions:

  • If a subscriber has paid for the full season and places a hold, their delivery is skipped and pushed to the end of the season.

  • This results in a “hanging credit” — a box that was paid for but never delivered.

  • At the end of the season, it's up to you as the farmer to decide how to handle any hanging credits. Most farms choose to forfeit unused boxes.

  • Make sure to clearly communicate your policy on hanging credits in your FAQ or member policies.

Tip: If most of your subscriptions are paid-in-full, consider disabling the hold option and allowing only rescheduling to avoid end-of-season confusion.

If You Want to Bill for Held Boxes:

  • You can enable the “Debit Held Deliveries” setting in your account. This will charge members for held deliveries instead of pushing them forward.

For Auto-Billed Subscriptions:

  • If a subscriber is on auto-billing and places a hold, the delivery is skipped and not billed.

  • Their delivery schedule simply moves forward without charging them for the held week.
