Changing merchant accounts/ CIM profiles

It is very important to keep your credentials when changing merchant services accounts. The Customer Information Profile retained for each member is account specific (not merchant services account specific.)

Some merchant services will say you must get a new account OR the merchant services provider you are leaving will say you cannot take the old account with you. This may not be true, and you must try to keep the same account. If you change accounts, all current CIM profiles in your CSAware storefront will be voided, and all CSA members will be required to re-enter their payment information, into the new account. This may result in missed billing, and lost revenue.
