Changing merchant accounts/A.net CIM profiles

It is very important to keep your Authorize.net credentials when changing merchant services accounts. The Customer Information Profile retained for each member is A.net account specific (not merchant services account specific.)

Some merchant services will say you must get a new A.net account OR the merchant services provider you are leaving will say you cannot take the old A.net account with you. This may not be true, and you must try to keep the same A.net account. If you change A.net accounts, all current CIM profiles in your CSAware storefront will be voided, and all CSA members will be required to re-enter their payment information, into the new A.net account. This may result in missed billing, and lost revenue.
